Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, March/2024
It is hard to believe we have been here, in Indonesia, over a year! I remember not long after we arrived here we celebrated Thalia’s 1st birthday, March 4th. Just a few days ago we celebrated her 2nd birthday. Her love for all things cat made it simple to figure out how to decorate for her special day. So much has happened and so much has changed over the last year. Thank you so very much for your faithful prayers. They have been a tremendous help and blessing to us.
A quick update on our language school: This final semester of language school for me has been challenging, but I have also received some of my highest scores on tests/quizzes! However, understanding the language on paper is one thing and understanding it when you meet new people is another. Please pray for my continued growth and learning of Indonesian even after I finish language school. I have also seen/heard Gina’s growth in Indonesian over the last few months. She is working very hard, and she even got a perfect score on a test a couple weeks ago! Please pray for our continued growth in the Indonesian language.
While we are in this period of learning, we are serving along side veteran missionaries Josh and Elizabeth Ewing. Please pray for the growth of Segala Bangsa Gereja Baptis (Every Nation Baptist Church). Please pray for Josh and I as we try to find the best ways to reach out into the community and share the Gospel with those around us. Pray that we have boldness to share the Gospel and that God would work in the hearts of those who hear it.
Over the last few weeks I have seen and heard of many people and friends getting sick. It seems to be that at the time of the changing of seasons people get sick which is normal, even in the States. Your continued prayer for our health is very much appreciated!
We are praising God for His wonderful mercy and grace towards us! Out Visa’s for the next year have been approved! Please pray for God’s guidance in how we may best serve Him over the course of this year in Indonesia!
Thank you for being faithful to pray for us, and for our prayer requests. Pray for us to have patience and wisdom to deal with the trials that God allows to come our way. Pray for our children that we may teach them about the Lord so that they may one day have a personal relationship with Him. Lastly, pray for us as we continue to grow together as a family.
