How Many Tires Do You Really Need?

Updated: Jan 22, 2021

Another church decided to partner with me to reach Indonesia with the Gospel!! Praise the LORD!! Church I was with voted to take me on for support after the morning service! God is good! One step closer to those who have never heard of what Christ has done for them.

Just a real quick story from this past month. I was driving down to my old stomping grounds in Louisiana, don’t hold it against me, and I thought perhaps my wheels were out of alignment because my car was pulling slightly to the right. I figured I would take it to a shop to have it re-aligned when I got back.

As I was driving back home from Louisiana the pull kept getting worse and worse, till I finally decided I needed to look at the tire itself to make sure of it. I should have done that at the start. A mistake I will not be making again as I discovered exactly how sharp the wire in your tire can be. Praise the Lord, I had a full-size spare in the trunk and changed the tire in Mobile, AL. and finished the drive home.

The tire shop I went to could not service me that day, so I scheduled an appointment for early the next morning. On my way home, I blew both the spare, and the rear passenger tire! I ended up needing to replace 3 out of 5 tires. A friend of mine helped out and we just bought 4 new tires and the old, but still good tire is now the spare.

You hear that story and may think, “Oh My! What a terrible expense!” I look at it and realize that as Churches have begun to open up my calendar is filling up with lots of travel, which is good! God used that situation, and a my friend, to get me 4 brand new tires for the many miles I have ahead of me in the coming months.

Would you continue to pray for me, that God would guide me to the right churches, that He would guide my words and actions to be a blessing to all those I come in contact with as I travel, and that He would continue to speed my way on to Indonesia?
